Premium homemade ice cream, fifteen summers in the making.

Small-batch ice cream and sorbet on South Pearl Street. Sixteen flavors in the case every day, new ones every week, and waffle cones we press ourselves.

Freshness counts

We don’t buy ice cream.
We make it.

Every batch is small, and every batch is ours. The dairy arrives twice a week from Gold Meadow Dairy — about two miles from the shop — and it goes straight into the machine.

That’s the whole trick. Good milk, small batches, nothing sitting around. We churn ice cream and sorbet in our own kitchen, press our own waffle cones, and put out sixteen flavors a day.

The room

Sixteen flavors on the board, waffle cones on the iron, and a wall of very good dogs watching you decide.

Steve Longman, owner of Rosie's Ice Cream, holding Rosie the French Bulldog

Our story

Steve’s been doing this a while.

I opened Inside Scoop Creamery in downtown Littleton in 2012 and spent the next stretch of my life making ice cream five days a week through every summer. I’m still at it.

Rosie’s started in 2022, and last year we moved into this room on South Pearl — a smaller, quieter shop that’s just ours. Sixteen flavors on the board, pints to go, and a case full of things I actually want to eat.

We still churn every batch of ice cream and sorbet ourselves at our Littleton commissary, then bring it here.

Come sit down. Stay a minute.

Rosie, a French Bulldog, being offered a cup of ice cream in the shop

About the name

Rosie was my French Bulldog, and the reason this place has a name.

She held court in the shop most summer afternoons — mostly asleep, occasionally begging, never once earning her keep. She’s not here to greet you anymore, but her name is on the door and her face is on every cup. That was always the plan.
